I have been a photographer since my first photo was published in the local paper in 1962 when I was 12, an art furniture maker since 1997 and a blacksmith since 1998. I live and work in Saskatoon. My furniture pieces are one of a kind original designs ranging from full size side boards through massive live edge benches to turned candle stands and bowls. Pieces may incorporate stone, photographic translucencies with light sources or painted panels. Photographs run the gamut from landscapes and florals to concept driven art photography. Blacksmithing is mostly about the making of practical objects rather than art although recently I have begun making blades, some from pattern welded steel of my own manufacture.
