At Cabinetworks we have been in the business of building kitchen cabinets in Halifax and Dartmouth for 30 years. As a manufacturer we can customize our products and give our designers the freedom to create custom kitchens that are built by our craftsmen both in an efficient and accurate manner that meet today's high standards. We specialize in European frameless construction with a difference. While most cabinet companies use 1/2" or 5/8" shelving, we use 3/4" material for all horizontal shelving, tops and bottoms. This helps eliminate customary sagging under load. We also install full 5/8" backs to enhance structural integrity, ensuring that cabinets will not tip away from the wall (a common problem with thinner backs). Our drawer boxes have 5/8" sides with 5/8" bottoms and our premium soft-close slides have a 75lb load capacity. We use Blum commercial duty softclose hinges with six-way adjustment and a lifetime guarantee. Cabinet interiors are made of the finest grade melamine while birch plywood interiors and solid dovetailed drawers are an option.
