With a name like HOME INSPECTORS® we have to take our profession very seriously. After 33 years of dedication towards protecting home buyers, we feel that we offer home inspection services in the Ottawa region, that are a cut above the rest. HOME INSPECTORS® is a privately owned and operated Canadian Corporation. Our president Paul Wilson, was the founding chairperson of the first home inspection association in Ontario back in 1980 and fought very hard to ensure that Ottawa consumers were protected by creating standards of practice and a code of ethics for its membership to follow. A lot has happened to the home inspection in Ottawa since then. Consumers need to exercise caution when selecting a home inspector as the profession still remains totally unregulated in Ontario today. While we fully support the idea of mandatory licensing of home inspectors across the province, it's still a ways off yet.
